Orange

Citrus was a commercial product coming from around India during the period when the Silk Road passed through Anatolia. With the discovery of the Cape of Good Hope, the trade routes changed, and with the colonization of the Asian continent by the European states, the entire orange production spread around Portugal. It was called the Orange (Portugal) fruit, meaning Portuguese fruit, because it came to Turkish lands for the first time from Portugal, and over time it became simpler and turned into an orange.
